Presentations & Scripts
Our interactive PowerPoint presentations and scripts bring energy efficiency to life, teaching practical, money- and energy-saving tips. After participating in a Lights for Learning presentation, students are empowered to take a proactive stance on energy efficiency and educate their communities about the benefits of switching to efficient products like LEDs. Presentations and scripts are available for the following age groups:
- Jr. Energy Heroes (Grades K-1)
- Energy Heroes (Grades 2-4)
- Energy Champions (Grades 5-8)
- Energy Leaders (Grades 9-12)

Student Activity Books
Free-to-download, printable activity books are available for each energy team, promoting STEM skills and reinforcing presentation concepts. The materials help students connect what they've learned in Lights for Learning to energy-efficient behaviors at home.
Free LEDs for Students
Teachers who commit to teaching an energy efficiency lesson plan using the Lights for Learning educator resources may request one free LED light bulb per participating student. These light bulbs will be shipped directly to your school free of charge for distribution following the presentation. Students are encouraged to bring the light bulbs home and talk to their families about switching to efficient lighting.
Energy Bike and Light Meter Lending Program
For many youth, one of the highlights of the presentation experience is the chance to pedal the energy bike. This unique teaching tool makes students the 'power plant' as they attempt to generate the electricity necessary to illuminate different types of light bulbs. Students, educators, and parents are continually astonished at how much less energy is needed to illuminate LEDs compared to traditional incandescent bulbs.
